Just as a follow up, here is her reply...

Thank you for your email regarding our forthcoming Wedding Fair. I am sorry to read your comments and views.

The Royal Pavilion Wedding Fair has been running successfully for 9 years and its main aim is to promote the Royal Pavilion as a Wedding Ceremony and Reception venue. We therefore prefer the suppliers to be able to work in conjunction with us as a venue. The majority of the suppliers attending do offer services that could be booked by a potential couple for their Wedding here. The Kings Hotel and the Star being the exception and can be offered as an evening reception venue.

We do offer Wedding Receptions at the Royal Pavilion but unfortunately due to the conservation and preservation of the building, we are unable to offer Wedding parties with dancing and discos. It is for this reason that it would not be suitable to promote a service that would not be able to take place here.

I am aware that many couples do attend Wedding Fairs for ideas and to research venues and suppliers. I do only have a limited number of stands and space available and have to select suppliers who are appropriate to our venue and as explained we cannot have parties here. As my colleague told your partner on the phone we are fully booked and have been since November.

Now, if only the website had said they were fully booked, the conversation would never have taken place.

Ho hum!

Nice one Ian - Harps and Pianists indeed. Methinks her ladyship is out of touch - don't they do Civil Partnerships? I can just see the Groom and Groom etc. throwing shapes on the dancefloor to the harpist in the evening.
