We offer a wide variety of options that you can add to your disco to make your big day unique and fun!
Evening Photography
Once your official photographer has gone home you rely on your friends to take pictures of the evening. Once the booze has settled in the quality of the pictures might not be so great. For a small extra fee your DISCOfever DJ will take pictures of you and your friends having a boogie. We get to see things from our vantage point that you and your friends may not ever see. Once the party is over and we get home we burn all of the pictures we have taken onto a CD and send it to you in the post to do whatever you want with. The beauty of this service is that you may not see your official evening photographs for some weeks and your friends may be a little lazy in e-mailing you the pictures they took on the night! In less than a couple of days following your party you will have our CD to remind you of the evening party.
Photo Display
There’s no doubt that on your special day your family and friends will be snapping away on their cameras recording the days events. The official photographer is also there, but you won’t see the pictures he or she has taken for a few weeks. Imagine being able to see the photo’s YOUR guests have taken, on the actual day of the wedding!
We can very easily add a large 22″ wide-screen flat panel display to our disco so that you can see the photo’s your guests have taken. All your guests need to do is bring their digital cameras to us on the night and we will download their photo’s onto our system and play them on a continuous slide show throughout the night for you and your guests to enjoy. Incorporate this service into our Evening Photography package and you’ll be able to see yourself doing your first dance moments after you’ve actually done it!
The other beauty of this service is that you won’t need to hassle your friends for weeks after your wedding for their pictures. Any pictures your guests give us will be burnt onto a CD and sent to you in the post a few days after the big day.
This service is not just limited to weddings, any type of event where you might want to show pictures to your guests will benefit. You can also provide us with a CD of pictures for us to show if you like. Such pictures might be of you and your partner when you were younger, your stag and hen night pictures, or of someone celebrating their birthday, etc. The possibilities are endless!
Presentation Video
Imagine being able to watch a montage of video clips from when you were younger at your birthday party or being able to show your paradise wedding video to your family and friends. Add our video system to your party and you can do just that!
As an example, we recently DJ’d at an event where the birthday girl (who also got married on her 40th Birthday) watched a 20 minute tribute to her own life on a large 6ft display screen. We worked in conjunction with the person who was compiling the video as a surprise and uploaded it onto our system on the night ready to play to not only her but her friends and family. It was a fantastic addition to the night everyone loved it!
Another example would be for the Best Man to put a compilation of embarrassing clips and photos together to show during his speech at your wedding. Again, the possibilities are endless!
Compact Speaker Hire
We have a number of small compact speakers which are available for hire. Perfect for conferences of up to 60 people, or for use at a Wedding as a source of background music and for use during the speeches.
Each speaker does not require a separate amplifier and they can be linked together and placed around the room wherever there is a source of power available. A radio or wired microphone can be connected as can a source of music, such as an iPod or other external device.
Another fantastic example of what you can do with our compact speakers is to create a “chillout room”. Any guests who are not really into partying the night away, or those who just fancy a rest from ripping up the dancefloor can enjoy listening to some sophisticated lounge music, or other music of your choice in another part of the wedding venue away from the noise of the disco.
Chocolate Fountain Hire
Chocolate Fountains can be a great ice breaker at parties. They create a focal point, a place where your family and friends can mix and mingle and chat to each other. On top of this, dipping fresh fruit into warm, tasty Belgian chocolate is enough to make ANYONE lick their lips and get involved!
We have two machines that we can hire out. Both are the same size, 20″ tall (about 4″ taller than the ones you get in Comet or Curry’s). Now that may seem a little small especially as most other companies offer 37″ and above machines. Bigger machines look great but they create more waste chocolate, chocolate that you are paying for. A large machine consumes around 15-20kg of chocolate in an evening (of which 10kg of that is just to get it going!) whereas our smaller machines use on average 3kg for the whole night. After seeing these huge machines at parties over the past 4 or 5 years we discovered that after the initial “rush”, the machines were pretty much unused for the rest of the night. We decided that we could very easily offer the exact same experience, which much less waste. Because there is less waste, they cost less to hire.
uPlay Nights
One of our latest editions is a fantastic way of getting your guests involved in your special day. Instead of booking just one DJ to play music all night, you choose up to 10 of your closest friends and give them the opportunity to DJ for you as well! Each guest can choose their own superstar DJ name and up to 5 songs they think will get your dancefloor buzzing. No previous experience is required, we provide the extra equipment and give on-site training!
Karaoke
An old favourite. Not everyone’s cup of tea (or chai latte depending on how posh you are) but once people get into it, it can be really good fun!
Race Nights
Available as both part of the main disco (best used at the beginning of the night) or as an extra in another room our Race Nights can be a great ice breaker! We offer 8 races with 8 random horses (or pigs) in each that your guests can bet on. There are no odds, they just bet to win. You can opt to play with REAL money where the winners win 100% of the takings, or you can split 50/50 with a charity of your choice. We can also provide personalised “funny money” if you don’t want your friends to go home empty handed! Prizes can also be awarded to those who win the most on the day!
