Your Wedding Day
It is without doubt one of the most important days of your life. Months if not years of preparation will go into planning your special day and you want it to be perfect. There is only one opportunity to get this right so every decision you make is absolutely critical.
Why DISCOfever?
I have performed at hundreds of wedding celebrations over the years and I am truly committed to making your reception disco an absolute success. I plan the evening entertainment to your own individual tastes and needs. No two weddings are the same therefore I don’t provide a set style of wedding entertainment.
We can arrange to meet a few weeks prior to the big day to discuss the evening. after all, it’s your party and it gives us a great opportunity to chat about the reception – not only from a musical aspect, but also with the lighting. Some clients might like nightclub-style lighting whereas others may prefer a more chic approach with mood lighting. We can also discuss our vocal style – you may want me to be chatty on the mic or you may not want me to talk at all other than make important announcements.
If you are having your wedding breakfast in the same room as the evening disco then space permitting I can set up my equipment earlier in the day to make the transition from daytime to evening quicker. If not, I can provide a small discreet PA system with a wireless microphone for speeches. If you bring an iPod with you, you can also plug this into the system so you can listen to your favourite music during the wedding breakfast.
You Choose the music…
By listening to people, I have discovered that some Mobile DJ’s prefer to choose their own music for your party. After all they have DJ’d at hundreds of parties previously so they will know which tunes are likely to pack the dance floor. Whilst this is predominantly true I don’t know you or your guests. I have absolutely no idea what your favourite tunes are or what sort of music you think your guests will dance to.
My internet-based planning system allows you to browse my extensive music library to choose your special first dance and build a play list of your favourite songs. Your guests can also have access to the system so they too can choose their favourite songs! You have total control over the songs they choose and it’s a great way of getting them involved in the planning of your special day! And yes, I also accept requests on the night.
You might think that by doing this you are doing all the hard work for me, after all, you are paying for our experience and the ability to “read the crowd”. This is true, but I use my experience and musical knowledge to introduce some music you may not have thought of.
If you are more than happy to leave the music up to me, then that’s fine – I will do my absolute best to keep them dancing all night!
Options…
For our wedding clients I offer a number of options relating to the service I can provide on your special day…
- All Day – I will be on-site from 11am to the end of the disco. If you are getting married at the venue I will (if required) play background music before and after the ceremony as well as that all important music as the Bride makes her way down the aisle. I will also look after the background music during your meal and make any necessary announcements and a microphone will also be made available for speeches. In the evening I will entertain you and your guests at the disco.
- Early Set Up – I will arrive late morning/early afternoon to set up the disco equipment and (if required) leave background music playing and a microphone will also be made available for speeches. I will then leave the venue and return in the evening for the disco.
- Just Disco – I will arrive about an hour and a half before the disco is due to start. The equipment will be set up and ready to go for the agreed start time (assuming that you do not over run).
Please choose one of the above options on the form when requesting a quote. I have a selection of other options available which you may want to add on to your disco package to make your special day truly unique.
